  • I want a relationship with Christ that has depth, is consistent, and permeates all other areas of my life.
  • I want a peace that can be felt by those I come in contact with.
  • I will have coffee with a pastor to discus some concerns in my life.
  • I will go on a spiritual retreat or pilgrimage.
  • I will find an intentional accountability partner.
  • Time. And sometimes I just prefer sin
  • Spiritual retreat may cost money.
  • Fear of silence, fear of unknown.
  • Jesus saying "Good well my good and faithful servant, now enter your rest."
  • Feeling God's peace more regularly
  • Knowing my life is influencing others.
Relational Person
  • I want to be a better friend and be more intentional with the friends I have.
  • I want to meet more people and develop more friendships.
  • I want a romantic relationship.
  • I will plan events and invite a friend or more at least once a month. (Not all events need to include everyone. The event could be as simple as asking someone for coffee.)
  • I will become more active at JW when work and classes do not conflict. I will stay in my group until at least the new year.
  • Time.
  • Making my schedule work with others'.
  • Events cost money. Hosting costs money.
  • Loneliness develops anxiety.
  • Distance to friends' houses.
  • Distance to Jacob's Well.
  • My work and class schedules.
  • My wedding. Standing next to a woman I love AND being surrounded by loving friends.
  • Being in an intentional community, investing my life in others and letting them do the same for me.
Family Member
  • I want to continue to improve my relationship with my family.
  • I want to love sacrificially.
  • I want to receive from them even when what they give is not what I need.
  • I will talk to mom about the past hurts that remain a hindrance to feeling loved by her,
  • I will try again to gt dad to do a planned event with me.
  • It is hard to find a time mom is alone and not distracted.
  • It is hard for me to receive from others - financially and gifts.
  • What if mom denies the event happened? What if she refuses to talk about it?
  • Having meaningful conversations with my family.
  • Feeling love from my parents that erases my pain.
  • We're freely giving and receiving of our time, resources, and advice.
  • I want to offer the best possible care to my current and future clients.
  • I want to prepare and educate myself both formally and informally.
  • I will ask to observe other therapists and provide co-therapy.
  • I will do independent study of specific therapy modalities - play therapy, CBT, etc.
  • When possible, I will enroll in RPT classes.
  • I chose a career with challenging hours.
  • Play therapy costs money and I have to repay my current loans even on a low salary.
  • I don't have a lot of interaction with coworkers who are just as busy as me.
  • I am in private practice with a full caseload offering effective treatment for people of various ages.
  • I will know that I have helped people and even saved lives.
  • I want to use adventures as a means of self-care to keep myself balanced and healthy.
  • I want to use adventure as a chance to build and deepen peer relationships.
  • I want to use adventure as a way to build into the lives of others.
  • I will plan an adventure a month beginning in 2015. (These do not necessarily have to be overnight camping.)
  • I will visit at least one Meetup group with hopes of meeting other adventurers.
  • Finding free time to schedule and also match others' schedules.
  • Lack of energy after long days.
  • Gas money; gear costs money.
  • Most of my friends do not enjoy the same type of adventures.
  • I am on the summit of a 14er with a client or other hurting person whom I've been able to invest in.
  • We are celebrating not only a successful summit, but growth, healing, and the potential of their life.
